Greetings!

We hope this newsletter finds you and your family happy and healthy. It has been a busy month at The Nest and we are pleased to welcome so many new families. We are looking forward to November and are anxious to share some of the new and upcoming things going on at our play and learning center.

As the cold and rainy weather begins to settle in, The Nest is a perfect place to bring your kids to play, meet friends, and get out their wiggles. Whether it be Stay and Play on Mondays, Parent's Night Out, or simply Drop-Off Play, rest assured there is always something fun happening at The Nest.

ACTIVITY THEME CALENDAR

If you haven't checked out our website lately, be sure to take a look and see what's new! One of the most recent additions is the Activity Theme Calendar. This is different from our Event Calendar in that it highlights the monthly learning theme, as well as some of the specific activities the teachers will be doing with the kids while they are at our learning center. We hope you find this to be a helpful and informative tool as you plan your child's next visit to The Nest.

November Theme: Community Helpers

WOODINVILLE WOMEN'S SHOW

The Nest is excited for the opportunity to participate in the 2009 Woodinville Women's Show on Saturday, November 7th from 11am - 4pm. The event will be held at the Carol Edwards Center and will offer products, resources, and entertainment specifically tailored for women.

OPEN HOUSE

Mark your calendars! The Nest will be holding its next Open House this month.

Saturday, November 21st
10am-3pm
Refreshments will be served and staff will be available to answer questions and show you around our spacious play and learning center.

Already a member of The Nest? Bring a friend in and earn a free hour of drop-off play when they register with us!

DROP AND SHOP

Do you have holiday shopping to get done and don't want to take your kids along? Let The Nest help! The day after Thanksgiving, we will open at 7am so that you can take advantage of the great sales. Coffee will be available for parents and breakfast treats will be offered to the kids.

Two additional Drop and Shop Days will be offered at The Nest on Saturday, November 28th and Saturday, December 19th. Doors open at 10am!

COLD AND FLU SEASON

With the cold and flu season upon us, we are doing everything possible at The Nest to help keep your kids healthy. Maintaining a clean and sanitary environment is very important to us and is one way we can help prevent the spread of germs. At The Nest we adhere to a regular cleaning cycle throughout the day, in which surfaces and toys are disinfected and sanitized routinely, and frequent hand washing is required among staff and children.

If your child is sick, please keep him or her home until they are well for at least 24 hours prior.

In conjunction with our Community Helpers Theme, nurses will be visiting The Nest on Tuesday, November 3rd to teach the kids the importance of hand washing.

FUTURE HAPPENINGS AT THE NEST

The new year is bringing new and exciting programs to The Nest! Starting in January we will be offering Monthly Enrichment Camps for your kiddos. Camps are four week sessions and will be held in the afternoons, twice weekly. Watch for more details coming soon!

Whether you're celebrating a birthday party or a special occasion, host your event in our 4,000 square foot play center. Our facility offers plenty of space for exploration and entertainment. For more information, please click here.
