August already? For many of us, that means one thing...BACK-TO-SCHOOL season.
Whether it's shopping for school supplies, attending back-to-school meetings, or simply running last minute errands, we know how busy this time of summer gets! As with many things, it can be difficult if not impossible to take your little ones along. Let us help! As always, The Nest has plenty of fun and exciting activities planned throughout the month.
August brings the FOREST to The Nest and includes fun activities like FLASHLIGHT TAG, PAPER BAG OWLS AND BLUEBERRY PAINTING! REGISTRATION FOR FALL ENRICHMENT CLASSES
Registration for our popular FALL Enrichment Classes has begun. These fun-filled classes give children the opportunity to learn, create, explore, and discover fun and exciting things about their world. Classes include structured play activities, teacher directed academics, art, science, and a whole lot of fun! Whether this is your child's first introduction to preschool or it's an "extra" to what he or she already does, our Enrichment Preschool Programs are sure to be a hit!

 KINDERMUSIK IN THE NEST
During the month of July and August, Studio3Music is offering Summer Camp Sessions in The Nest! Both will offer lots of fun and engaging activities that your kids won't want to miss out on. And to sweeten the tune, our friends at Studio3Music are offering all new Woodinville Kindermusik registrations for summer camp ONE FREE HOUR at The Nest. That's right, visit Kindermusik online at Studio3Music and check out the fun camps for families with children newborn - 5 years. Register online anytime during the summer for your class and a free hour at The Nest is included. That's a $10 savings! In addition, it's never too soon to start thinking about the 2011-2012 School Year Session. Studio3Music will be holding all of their Woodinville Kindermusik classes at The Nest, and as always, we will offer all families that enroll with Studio3Music a special "Stay and Play" rate of $5 per hour for siblings not attending class. While one child enjoys a fun-filled Kindermusik class, the other stays busy playing and having fun in our drop-off play area. It's a perfect combination! JACK & JILL FALL SALE
The Jack & Jill Fall Sale will be held August 5th & 6th, 2011 at the Lynnwood Convention Center. Participating in a consignment sale is the ultimate in recycling! Consignors will bring thousands and thousands of quality, gently-used items to the sale, including children's clothing, shoes, toys, books, furniture, baby equipment & strollers. The selection is amazing! There will also be local moms showcasing their handmade items and services for your family in the Made by Mom boutique area. Visit Jack & Jill to find out how you can participate in the sale as a consignor and/or volunteer.
Get in an hour early (9am) on Friday, August 5th when you bring a donation for the Baby Food & Diaper Drive to benefit the Maltby Food Bank! Items will be collected throughout the weekend. Also, visit Saturday, August 6th from 1 - 4pm when many items will be marked half price.

CLOSED LABOR DAY
Just an early reminder that The Nest will be CLOSED Saturday, September 3rd for PNO and Monday, September 5th for the Labor Day holiday. Have a great weekend!

PLEASE REMEMBER TO WEAR YOUR SOCKS...It's summer time, and that means sandals and flip flops are in order, but inside The Nest, socks are still the fashion! Please be sure to send your kiddos with socks when they come to play with us. Thank you, we appreciate your cooperation!

RESERVATIONS ARE RECOMMENDED, but not required, and NOTIFYING US OF CANCELLATIONS is greatly appreciated! As always, The Nest welcomes you to drop in anytime. However, should you have an important errand or scheduled appointment to attend, we STRONGLY recommend that you call ahead and reserve a space for your child(ren). We strictly adhere to our teacher/child ratios and would hate to turn you away because we are full. On the other hand, should you have something come up that requires you to cancel your reservation, please kindly give us a call and let us know of your change of plans. Additionally, if you are going to be late for your scheduled reservation, please notify us. Per policy, we will assume cancellation of your visit if 60 minutes has passed the scheduled reservation time. At that time, we reserve the right to give the reservation space to another family. Thank you for your consideration!
