Miss Beth (Owner)

Welcome to the Nest and thank you for being a part of The Nest family! Our staff is focused on ensuring your child has the greatest experience learning, playing and growing while with us. Our educators are dedicated to child development and have over 35+ years of combined experience.

Many of you might recognize my name as I have been your Woodinville Kindermusik educator since 1999 working with children from newborn – 7 years. I have grown to adore our Woodinville community, families and The Nest.

Like you, I am a mother (though my son Tyler has now graduated high school) and even before he was a twinkle in my eye I knew two things upon graduating from UC San Diego with a BA in Visual Arts and a double minor in Biology and Spanish: I love children and I love art. So, I embraced these passions and pursued an education certificate in Montessori teaching. I quickly learned that children have a tremendous capability to grown and learn when provided in a fun, interactive and nurturing environment.

I turned these lessons into an opportunity to combine my love of children and musical arts when I was introduced to Kindermusik in 1999. Together with two business partners we formed Studio3Music, now the world’s #1 Kindermusik studio serving the Greater Seattle area since 2007. Having taught Kindermusik at the Nest since 2010 it was a natural transition for me to make the jump from solely as your music teacher to being actively involved in daily operations.

I’m very excited to be working with familiar faces and truly believe in the importance of quality childcare and enriching the lives of our children. My husband, Pat, and I invite to you to fly into The Nest for a visit and see for yourself how The Nest will help your child explore and grow in a safe, loving and engaging atmosphere.

When you’re here you are our family!

Learning and Growing,

Miss Beth

Miss Miranda (Teacher)Miss Miranda

Miss Miranda, our resident Mama Owl, is at the core of The Nest as she has been overseeing operations since our inception in 2009. When “off duty”, you can find her on the sidelines at her son’s football games cheering him on, or at her daughter’s basketball games. As a mother of two busy school-aged children, she understands exactly how precious time is to yourself. Miranda has enjoyed aiding in the growth of The Nest by assisting in daily program development and operations.  Her passion for The Nest is contagious. She has seen many of our community’s children grow over the years and loves meeting our new friends. She takes deep pride in providing a service that allows you to leave your kids in a safe and fun learning environment. Whenever Ms. Miranda is in The Nest – your kids are bound to have a hoot!  Miss Miranda also has an Associates degree in Human Resources.

Miss Anna – Teacher

Have you ever met a person and just thought …yep, that’s a teacher! For us, that’s our music teacher Ms. Anna. Anna has been a teacher for over 15 years in the preschool and early education classrooms as well as with Studio3Music for six years. She adds to her already extensive resume with a personal title of Mama Bird as she now has two baby chicks of her own: Miles and Macie. When she puts on her Mama hat, she is likely playing trains and shakers with her kids as she loves seeing them think and process out loud. “As adults, our thought process is all internal.

With kids, I get to see and hear exactly what they are thinking. I love the creativity that kids bring to any situation they are in!” At The Nest, Anna has found her branch just like her favorite movie The Lorax…”Change the way things are…It (the seed) may seem small and insignificant. It’s not about what it is, but what it can become.” – The Once-ler   We are very fortunate to have Ms. Anna at The Nest Music. She eagerly awaits watching our seeds grow into what they are meant to be through music education.

Miss Kim- Teacher

Miss Kim

Ms. Kim is constantly whipping up playful learning opportunities whether at The NEST, in the classroom or at home. Ms Kim’s passion for education strengthened through her college years at WSU, as a mother and now a WA State certificated & classified K-12 substitute teacher. As an avid “big kid” you will often find her playing baby lions, crafting or being a fairy princess with our little ones. She enjoys taking each opportunity as learning experience to build big imaginations and creative outlets for our NEST families. To motivate her own baby birds, she often coins her saying “Keep thinking and see how possible the impossible really is.”

Ms Kim has been a familiar face and name throughout our music community as she spent seven years beside Miss Beth and Studio3Music. Prior to spreading her wings at The NEST, she dove right into the world of public and community relations in the private communications and hospitality sector. She balances our program with a splash of “creative engineering” as she calls it and believes your creations are only as limited as your imagination.

Miss Brandi – Teacher

Brandi has truly found her home here at The Nest. Brandi joined our team last year shortly after she moved here from Orange County, CA. As a protective mamma bird herself, she recalls searching for preschools for her children, Jack, age 5 and Sadie, age 3, before she moved and kept going back to The Nest’s website and was so eager to bring her children here as soon as she could! Brandi has such a big heart and is so nurturing with the children, she is often greeted with a line of kids to give her a hug when she arrives each day.

Not only has she had a passion to work with children since she was a child herself, she also loves event planning and is always looking for new ways to get connected with our Woodinville community. You will find Brandi at local events such as Celebrate Woodinville and children’s events at Molbaks, and of course assisting our teachers daily at The Nest!

Brandi is in the process of completing her 30 hours of STARS training and has completed several training courses through the Lake Washington School District with a focus on kindergarten readiness.

Hello! My name is Ms Luz. I am bilingual in English and Spanish. I am so excited to bring culture and foreign language into the Nest classroom. Early on as college graduate from UNITEC (Universidad Technologica de Mexico) and after school tutor, to now a mother of (almost) two little ones, I have always known that my passion for childhood education runs deep. I have worked with non-profits (MyGift) and in the private sector, and through my learnings I have discovered that my heart is in the classroom. Miss Leila – Teacher

Like a beam of sunshine, our daily class teacher Miss Leila brings such delightful warmth and character to our NEST family. Born in China, Leila was adopted and grew up in the States starting at age two. She has found a special kinship in working with children of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. An avid volunteer, philanthropist and life enthusiast, Leila embraces life to the fullest and brings with her the warmest of smiles to make even our dreary Seattle days much brighter!

Ms. Rhonda – Teacher

If asked to describe Ms. Rhonda in hashtags they would have to be #LookUP #BePositive #RoleModel. This native Nebraskan and Mother of two; embraces life with a positive outlook, nurturing glow and an incredibly contagious laugh. As a certificated teacher holding her Masters in Education with a partial Spec Ed degree she has found that her motivation in the classroom stems from making a genuine teacher-child connection. She is driven by the “click” as she calls it. That moment when the child feels safe to grow academically, socially and emotionally in her care. Ms. Rhonda reminds her students to keep their chin towards the sky (makes sense as her favorite movie is UP) and when in doubt to find the humor in any situation – which for her always requires more cowbell!

Ms. Kris – Teacher

Our preschool is immediately a home the moment Ms. Kris arrives! This mother of two passionately lives by three staples: family, faith and love. Ms. Kris believes that each child brings an unique personality and skill to her classroom. As a Girl Scout leader, philanthropist, school volunteer, PTA president, educator (the list goes on and on) she is driven by the opportunity to help children succeed. She enjoys sharing in the excitement of when her preschoolers master number sequencing to problem solving to when they simply remember to use their manners. When Ms. Kris is here – you always feel like part of her family!

The Nest offers a social and creative environment where children ages 2.5-6 can play, learn and develop social skills. We have clients from Woodinvile, Bellevue, Redmond, Monroe, Maltby, Kirkland, Seattle
